This picture is from yesterday in the hospital, just before my son and i went back to the surgery room. Sorry for not following the theme, but it was a very scary feeling holding my son just before he was going into surgery. It wasn't a big surgery or anything, but knowing there's always that chance that something might go terribly wrong and i might lose him made the picture very important. A few minutes later he was laying on the table and struggling as the doctor held the anestisia mask over his face. He was thrashing about, and very scared. He looked very helpless, and i hated that i couldn't help him/stop the doctors from scaring him. It wasn't a plan or anything, but i leaned down next to his ear and started singing to him. As soon as he heard me singing, he stopped struggling, relaxed and by the time i finished the song, he was under. I know i am important in his life, but it really came through just how much at that moment. He did great.
