awesomehogger all the way to the end. If one beard really made this grand place into something even more it was you. thanks for all you've contributed.
You made this place a lot more interesting, way more artistic, and even a little cooler. It was a pleasure growing a beard with you and getting to see your creativity.
Its been a pleasure checking out your pictures everyday and your creativity is truly inspiring. Gonna miss those damn pictures and hope to see you again in '09. Next time I will make the trek from Glasgow to Nashville to be part of the bigger brotherhood.
Josh, it was an honor meeting you, sharing with you, and now being able to call you friend. You were the shining star this year; without you, we'd just been weird guys looking at each others beards; you brought art and creativity; with honesty, style and humbleness. I can't wait till we can hang out again.
This is one of the saddest goodbyes I'm having to make. You've entertained and inspired like no others have, and I'll miss that very much. Farewell, sir.
It was a pleasure enjoying your work each day. It was more of a pleasure meeting you in person.
And we all appreciate you hard work in keeping stats.
God Bless You and Your Family
Jnon, what can I say that I haven't already told you in person? I will shout it from the metaphorical Whiskerino mountaintops - you changed the game with Whiskerino this year. You brought a level of creativity and fun that was unheard of / unthought of before. You brought real, literal, CRAFT to Whiskerino. You are an all-star. That may be a hard notion to accept but it's true. You are a prime example of why I even do these things in the first place. Not that everyone else didn't do amazing work - but you brought serious game, you have to agree with that.
I am honored to know you and hope that we can interact again in the future - hopefully sooner rather than later.
Though I'm a fan of artifice, I love this shot.
You are the pumpkin patch who is most sincere. May the Great Pumpkin rise from you and distribute presents to all the good little boys and girls.
Scratch that, you will probably be arrested. I think you know what I was trying to say anyway. TTFN!
i'm honored to call you a friend, it was great to hang out so much in nashville. i hope we will meet again soon. you and jim should come visit the pa beards.
Your photos have confounded and astounded me all the way through this thing. I can't tell you how much I will miss your photos. I'm going to keep practicing and maybe, maybe in 2 years I'll be able to manage to take a half-way decent jnon.
You have been a creative inspiration from the beginning of this thing. Hell, you had a day devoted to your creativity! That says a lot, especially since there were over 300 of us. Great to meet you in person and look forward to seeing you in the future.
You owned Whiskerino this year. I hope your baby is born healthy - and soon!
The only more staggering than the genius of your work is the apparent ease with which you delivered it
Be well.
im pretty sure all the above comments are going to say...what i am going to say, but i still feel the need to say thank you for making whiskerino so fun. your cutouts will forever be in my memory. your theme day breakdowns & lexicon will always be winners. you sir are a good guy & im glad to have had the chance to meet you & talk with you in person. your family is so beautiful & i hope to meet them one day. ive told you before, but your a family fav on here. thank you sir & you have my contact info for whenever your this way.
I am not sure you fully understand how freaking amazing you are. Thank you for picture after picture of greatness. Thank you for leting me hanging out with me breifly at the Throwdown, and thank you for keeping in touch....
What in the world are you going to do with all of your free time now. Not to mention with all your extra creative energy. Might I suggest you think about building pop up books. I think you'd rule at those b/c you seem to rule at most everything else. Loved whiskering with you.
Jnon, Jnon, Jnon... if anyone encouraged me it was you. Your shear devotion to this phenomonal site is an inspiriation in itself. I promise you that next Throwdown I will be visiting Nashville in person and I want nothing more than to shake you talented self by the hand.
In the years that followed, the old guy from the bowing alley became a Sensei at the local Dojo. He had mastered the art of making delicious pan fried turkey stew and was working on selling his children's Girl Scout Cookies. He loved the Thin Mints. He finally ended up eating all of the boxes that she ordered for the other people and sold his Dojo to pay for them. Then he drank some water, remembering when he used to bowl.
I don't know if it's already been said, but I feel so much like I'm signing people's high school yearbooks today that it's making me really uncomfortable. Anyway, thank you for your excellent work in this Whiskerino, jnon. Sorry not to have gotten to meet you in person, but I feel fortunate to have been able to know you in this strange way. I really think your dedication to inventiveness will inspire future beardos, just as it has inspired so many of us.
Take care!
your work here has been amazing. seriously... the effort itself is worth a ton of king beards. im sorry you never got as many as you should have, but your portfolio is amazing and you probably have one of the best scores all around. i mean, come on... you were top 10 almost everyday man!
anyways, it was good to meet you in nashville and im looking forward to your crazy photos next go around. see ya.
You are incredible. I can try to say more, but it won't ever be enough. I hope your children know how lucky they are to have such a creative influence on their life.
Jnon, you shaped the experience I know as Whiskerino in so many ways...you are the spirit of Whiskerino embodied. Until our paths cross again (hopefully before '09), farewell.
from the start you've been one of my favorites, josh. i'll miss your photos and presence on this site. my contact info is on my page, and i hope to stay in touch.
